Unakite Necklace
CHF 26.00
Unakite originates from the granitic zones of North Carolina, forming through the alteration of orthoclase feldspar. Geologically young, it was born from metamorphic processes that transform rocks over millions of years.
This necklace showcases unakite in its most characteristic form: a blend of coral pink and sage green tones, with nuances that shift depending on the angle of light. The stone has a milky transparency that conveys visual softness, while small mineral inclusions create natural texture on the surface.
It offers an understated yet present aesthetic, equally suited to a summer walk or a quiet moment. The color combination coordinates effortlessly with neutral and earth-tone palettes.
Unakite formed through what might be called a geological anomaly: its formation requires particular circumstances where feldspar undergoes a specific chemical change, making it less common than other pink quartzes found in the same areas.
